Lacoste dresses Adèle Exarchopoulos & Cédric Jimenez for the official screening of “Chien 51”, which closed the 2025 Venise Mostra

Saturday, September 6th, the director and the actress present their latest movie « Chien 51 », co-produced by Lacoste, which closed one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. The perfect occasion for Pelagia Kolotouros, creative director of the House, to show the brand’s historical know-how.

Adèle Exarchopoulos and Cédric Jimenez both hit the red carpet in Lacoste custom made outfits, specially designed for the Venice Mostra.

For Adèle, the creation draws its inspiration from the film « Chien 51 » and its dark cinematic universe. The spirit of empowerment and the image of rebellious and fatal woman on screen, also served as a key source of inspiration.

Black was a natural choice, echoing both the film’s aesthetics and the brand’s timeless heritage. The dress is crafted from a textured piqué Emil jersey, a clear reference to the Polo shirt, an icon of the brand, that fluidly follows the body’s lines, elegantly enhancing Adèle’s silhouette.

At the heart of the concept was the idea of reinterpreting the Lacoste polo as a couture piece worn backwards and buttoned along the spine, it reveals a striking open back that extends to the lower back. The result is a creation where the purity of the line meets the intensity of a dramatic backless design — minimal yet spectacular.

Cédric Jimenez also wore a custom-made outfit. His suit was cut in a silk and wool mixed fabric, a tribute to René Lacoste’s blazer, celebrating the brand’s tailoring heritage.
