Aigle reaffirms its footwear positioning with Lifeproof

Designed at the crossroads of the city and the outdoors, lifeproof translates more than 170 years of expertise and protection into a new expression of Aigle footwear.

Since 1853, AIGLE has supported those who live in close connection with the elements. Born from rubber craftsmanship and renowned for its iconic handmade boots crafted in France, the brand has built its identity at the intersection of city and nature, style and function, heritage and innovation.

Today, AIGLE opens a new chapter with LIFEPROOF a footwear vision rooted in its heritage of protection while addressing contemporary lifestyles. Inspired by the performance standards and uncompromising quality that shaped its iconic boots, the collection brings together technical innovation, freedom of movement and style in silhouettes designed to support everyday life, whatever the terrain.

Developed from more than 170 years of expertise, LIFEPROOF styles combine technologies engineered to enhance comfort, stability and durability. The shoes feature ENRGCORE cushioning for energy return, TECHNISUPPORT for torsional control, and DURACOMP, a high-performance rubber compound delivering exceptional grip and protection.

To mark this new chapter, AIGLE opens its archives and presents a curated selection of iconic materials—including posters, catalogues and magazine editorials.

This retrospective looks back on nearly half a century of creativity, highlighting the consistency of a vision that has remained true to its core values: protection, freedom of movement and a connection with nature.

A dialogue between heritage and innovation that now finds a new expression through LIFEPROOF.

To support this new phase, AIGLE has partnered with Chris Kyvetos, a recognized figure at the intersection of product, retail, and contemporary culture. Co-founder of Sneakerboy and now Head of Group Brands Architecture at Frasers Group, Chris Kvetos brings a product-led vision informed by his background in premium retail, technical footwear, and brand culture. Leveraging AIGLE’s historic footwear expertise alongside his deep industry experience, he is spearheading the transformation of the footwear category around three key pillars: functionality, technical design, and cultural relevance, while honoring over 170 years of French heritage.

“Aigle has the one thing this industry can’t manufacture: a hundred and seventy years of earned authority. The work isn’t to reinvent it – it’s to make footwear the place you feel it most clearly. » Chris Kyvetos
